Manchester United fell to a 4-2
Manchester United fell to a loss of 4-2 in a friendly match against La Liga team Cadiz in the afternoon of Wednesday despite coming back from two goals behind to draw level with the Nuevo Mirandilla temporarily.
After the early goals of Carlos Garcia and Anthony Lozano in the opening 14 minutes of the game for United’s home side, United fought back through an Anthony Martial penalty in the 21st minute and a Kobbie Mainoo goal just three minutes after the substitute was introduced as a substitute at half-time.
However, Cadiz was to have the final word in the game, with Ruben Sobrino making a save from a cross in the 57th minute and Tomas Alarcon adding a fourth in the 77th minute, giving the team, which is currently 19th LaLiga the victory.
The tournament was designed to keep players who were not playing in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar sharp in the lead-up to the return of football clubs immediately after the winter competition.

Man United’s starting line-up included seven players featured in the Premier League this season- Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Elanga and Martial.
After being two goals down, United started their comeback by bringing in their 19-year-old midfielder Zidane Iqbal was sacked in the box. Martial scored from the penalty spot using the help of a Panenka.
Main, the 17-year-old midfielder, who has yet to make his first-team debut, pulled the opponents to the level by launching a deflected shot from inside the box.
Both teams made sweeping adjustments at half-time, and half-time saw United replacing the entire outfield team and Cadiz making nine changes. The hosts changed their tactics and went on to win.
Erik Ten Hag’s team will also face Real Betis in Spain on Saturday before competitive matches resume after the World Cup, with a Carabao Cup round of 16 clashes at home against Burnley in December. 21 — just three days after the final day of the World Cup final.
