Anthony Davis injury update
According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is scheduled to have an MRI after feeling pain in his left leg during Friday’s game against Denver Nuggets.

Davis was seen to have suffered an injury to the foot during the first quarter after Nuggets player Nikola Jokic struck his leg. Davis did not return to the game until the break, scoring 10 points over 17 minutes. The Lakers were able to take win the game 126-108.

Davis has had to miss time due to flu-like symptoms, lower back tightness, and an injury to the left calf this season. Injuries are not new to the Hall of Famer, who is set to be inducted in 2020. Davis played only 40 games in the last season and 36 games in 2020-21.
In actuality, the 29-year-old has had at most 75 games during an entire season and has only been able to reach the mark of 70 games only twice since he joined the NBA as the no. First overall pick at the time of the year 2012 NBA draft.

This has kept him from putting together a resume that includes an NBA championship, four All-NBA picks, eight All-Star selections with three block titles, and an invitation to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
The Kentucky player’s individual brilliance is just one of the reasons there’s still hope for Los Angeles despite a slow start to the season, and he’s scoring 27.4 scores, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
While the Lakers aren’t likely to match Davis the way they did in the absence of Davis, expect Thomas Bryant to see more playing time.
