Kyrie Irving recently tweeted a link to a book that film was peddling antisemitic content
Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai and the company itself chastised Kyrie Irving on Friday after the team’s All-Star point guard promoted an anti-Semitic book and film on social media the day before.

On Thursday, Kyrie Irving sent a tweet and an Instagram story with an Amazon link to a video called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” which is based on a book by the film’s director, Ronald Dalton, Jr.
Tsai replied to Irving’s posts late Friday by giving his opinion on one of the team’s key players’ behavior. “I’m sad that Kyrie seems to be supporting a movie based on an anti-Semitic book.” As a man of faith, I oppose hatred based on race, ethnicity, or religion. This is more important than basketball. “

The Nets issued a statement condemning Irving’s statements earlier on Friday. “The Brooklyn Nets are strongly opposed to hate speech promotion and will not accept it.” In these cases, we believe that the first step should be an honest and open dialogue. We want to thank everyone who has helped us through this difficult period, notably the Anti-Defamation League.”
Kyrie Irving vaccination controversy
Kyrie Irving has been known to express provocative thoughts and beliefs. He neglected most of last season because he denied getting vaccinated for COVID-19, and he claimed that the mandate was “one of the worst abuses of human rights
He has also expressed that he thinks the Earth is flat, and in October, he uploaded a 2002 video from Alex Jones discussing a “New World Order” conspiracy.

The Nets have not announced any sanctions for Kyrie Irving at this time, although he and the organization were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension during the offseason. That means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, and issues like these will make it difficult for him to win another long-term contract.
