Campbell hopes to end the five-game losing streak of the franchise on Thanksgiving. He believes the Ford Field faithful will rock out for Thursday’s game against Buffalo Bills. The John Madden Thanksgiving Celebration kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Campbell stated earlier this week via the team’s website, “That was one thing I thought about after this game on Sunday against the New York Giants] was like, man, this place is going [fired up] because it’s been great.” It’s been electric, and I can only imagine it now. It’s going on fire. It’s going be amazing.”

The Lions won their third consecutive victory over the Giants, a streak they haven’t had since Weeks 9-11, 2017. If they beat the Bills, it would be the Lions’ first four-game winning streak in 2016 and a break from their five-game skid at Thanksgiving.

The match’s outcome is uncertain, as Detroit will face a Buffalo team backed by Josh Allen. Allen is currently 2-0 on Thanksgiving. The Bills and Lions have met twice before on Turkey Day, and Detroit won both matches — the last one in Week 13, 1994.

An interesting caveat is that the Lions will return home after their two consecutive victories on the road. The Bills will, however, return to Ford Field for their second straight game. According to NFL Research, this is the third time an NFL team has played two games at the same venue

The Lions hope that a little Thanksgiving home cooking will taste good for the first since 2016.
