BTS are joining the military.

As Jin approaches his 30th birthday in December, the oldest member, Jin, will be the first to join this month. Each of the group’s seven members must fulfill their legal responsibilities to South Korea, which mandates that all physically fit men serve for 18 to 21 months before turning 31.

According to a Big Hit Music announcement, he will thereafter follow the recruitment guidelines established by the Korean government.

According to their own personal objectives, some of the gang’s members want to complete their military duty.

After their service vow, the statement continues, “Both the corporation and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025.”

The trio made the announcement on their social media pages after their free concert on Saturday in Busan to support South Korea’s bid for the World Expo (15.10.22).

BIG HIT MUSIC announced today that BTS is now going forward with plans to conclude its military duty.

Following the great concert, the members of BTS are honored to support Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo as well as each member’s separate projects.

BTS was established more than ten years ago, and since then the group has soared to new heights of fame, broken records and K-Pop.

The focus of BIG HIT MUSIC has been on the current historical era when it is possible to uphold national expectations and let these healthy young men to serve alongside their fellow citizens.

It had been rumored that the group might be exempt from military service on the grounds that they had already served their country through their enormous global success and that other deserving citizen, such as Olympians and classical musicians had been excused and according to plans they put forth by South Korea’s Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Hwang Hee.

However, the initiative appeared to have been dropped despite strong protests from many persons who had completed their sentences.
