Spotify Releases Wrapped 2022. Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift are the most streamed artists of the Year.

Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift are the most streamed artists of the Year

Spotify revealed its wrap-up campaign for 2022, which is anchored by the highly-anticipated year-end-recap experience personalized for customers, and also revealed the top artists on the platform for albums, songs, and podcasts for the year.

Bad Bunny was the most streamed artist on Spotify for the third time in a row, taking the top spot once more. This Puerto Rican rapper and singer’s tracks have received over 18.5 billion Spotify streams this year, with his debut album “Un Verano Sin Ti” topping the charts. #1 most streamed album in the world this Year.

Spotify celebrates Bad Bunny’s success in various Wrapped 2022 promotional campaigns, including in-home billboards and posters throughout the city, inviting users to search for the most streamed artist in the form of a word search.

Next week, Spotify will also roll out an Easter egg that will be a gift to Bad Bunny on the platform. If users love and tap the hearts icon on one of his songs, it will change from the classic green heart of Spotify to Bad Bunny’s famous red heart.

Taylor Swift was Spotify’s second most streamed artist overall (and the highest-streamed female artist for the Year), a repeat of 2021. The album “Midnights” earned the number. 4 position in the top 4 spots on U.S. most-streamed albums, remarkable considering it was released just six weeks prior on the 21st of October. 21. Swift is Spotify’s most-viral artist of the Year, so Spotify often shares her music on social platforms.

Drake, The Weeknd, and BTS BTS rounded the top five streamed artists worldwide via Spotify in 2022.

The song that was the most streamed on Spotify in 2022 is Harry Styles’ hit “As It was,” which had over 1.6 billion streams across the globe this Year. In the second and third spots, respectively, there’s “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals and, for the second time in a row, “Stay (with Justin Bieber)” by Kid Laroi. The fourth and Fifth spots originate via Bad Bunny with “Me Porto Bonito” and “Titi Me Pregunto.” (See more ranking of Spotify Wrapped 2022 in the table below.)

In terms of podcasts, the most popular podcast on Spotify of 2022 was, just like it was in the past, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” which is available exclusively through its audio service (read more about the top Spotify audiobooks of 2018).

Beginning Wednesday, November. 30th, eligible Spotify users will be able to access their customized 2022 Wrapped experience solely through the mobile application (for the two platforms, iOS, and Android) via the wrapped hub. More details are accessible at spotify.com/wrapped.

This Year’s Wrapped reintroduces fans to fan-favorite features, like the top artists of users’ songs, genres, podcasts, and the number of minutes they’ve listened to. Spotify has added new features in 2022. They include:

Your listening preferences: Spotify created 16 different “Listening Personality” kinds, and Wrapped will reveal to users the personality they’re best matched to based on their 2022 listening habits.

The expanded messages from your artist in 2021: Wrapped was a platform that featured thank-you notes from more than 100 artists. The Year after, Spotify expanded that to include messages from over 40000 artists, which include Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Pusha T, Shania Twain, and Maneskin. With Your Artist Messages, eligible users will receive a customized video feed that includes thank-you messages from the top artists of 2022. Each message will be followed by the most popular track from the artist that Year.

Audio Day: an interactive story that gives you a glimpse into how your tastes change each day.

Musician merchandise and concerts, in addition to personal and editorial playlists, the Wrapped hub will also include merchandise from your favorite artists and schedules of live events coming up.

There are more sharing options available: Customers this year can share their Wrapped cards via WhatsApp and Line, unlock a personalized Snapchat lens that shows their listening preferences, and gain access to exclusive Wrapped-themed clothing for Bitmoji. Spotify also has a new feature that allows users to create personalized, themed GIFs for every Giphy partner.

Roblox partnership: On the game-based online platform that is currently in development, it is expected that the Spotify Island mainland area will be getting an all-encompassing takeover, complete with quests, games, merchandise, and photo booths featuring artists like Bizarrap, Black Sherif, CRO, Doechii, Eslabon Armado, Miranda Lambert, NIKI, Stray Kids, SUNMI and Tove Lo.

Additionally, Spotify launched its “Wrapped Creator Experience” for musicians and podcasters. The service offers personalized Wrapped microsites where creators can discover how their fans have been listening to their content throughout the year.
